Chapter 2: Part 8
Chapter 2: Part 8
Mira was done with being in the snow, the memories of the past were becoming way too much to bare. She enjoyed being around Lucretia but the snow, it wasn't as lovely as Lucretia exclaimed, it was more haunting than beautiful. She walked back in the castle and sat upon the stairs as they were nearby, she felt dizzy and tired. She couldn't help it but think that something wasn't right, was she falling ill? The sound of footsteps were nearby as she glanced towards the archway, seeing who’s it belonged to. It was Jacoby, but his expression was more relaxed than usual, perhaps the season was changing everyone. He crossed his arms with a light smile, which puzzled Mira because she obviously knew he was always up to no good. She then spoke to him with her voice breaking a bit from the cold air, “Master said I wasn't allowed to speak to you.” “I know what your Master said,” Jacoby replied sharply, “but he isn't here, he’s in a council meeting, now just hear me out alright?” Mira sighed as she stood up, “Fine, what is it…” “I wanted to apologize, for tormenting you in any way, you don’t have to believe me, but at least you know now that I am sorry.” Mira felt her chest thump, he was sorry? No, she wouldn't believe it, what if he was trying to weaken her defenses. Her expression remained straight as she nodded, “It’s fine.” Jacoby then turned away as he was about to walk out the door, “Good, now Is Lucretia outside? I was sent by Thorne to find her.” Again, Mira nodded as she watched him leave the front room and out the wide double doors, all the while whispering under her breath, “You’re not sorry….”

Chapter 2: Part 7
Winter had finally came to the isolated castle that housed over 200 Vampires in the local area. The sunrise was hidden behind the thickened overcast as it brought quarter-sized flakes that would lay upon the cold dead ground. Some of the trees had already lost their leaves and the others that hadn’t were covered with the white blanket the chilled season brought for them. Mira loved the snow, as it reminded her of past memories before her exile. The thoughts of running through the slush and piles of snow were saddening her, but even if, she still couldn't go back. Soon Lucretia’s voice was heard from behind her, making her realize she wasn't in the once family home she used to be in, “Oh how lovely! Goodness, Mira, just look at this weather!” Mira held her chest as her heart thumped from her sudden anxiety, “Will you guys cut that out…one day you’ll send me to my grave if you keep sneaking up like that…” Mira said stiffly. Lucretia just looked about and walked a few steps closer holding up her hands to the flakes that surrounded the two women, ”It makes the world look so fragile, doesn't it,” She said as she felt the cold wind blow past them, “Like it’s been untouched by any hand.” Mira nodded, observing the surroundings as well, “Yeah…yeah it does…”
